The Bloody Wrath of Countess Mekula – Available NOW!

Centuries after her supposed demise, Countess Mekula returns for retribution upon the mortal world! Can a band of simple yet stalwart villagers stop her before the next setting sun? A thriller four hundred years in the making, this is a DCC funnel adventure loaded with traps, puzzles, ghoulish hordes, and a climatic battle with a vampire.

The Bloody Wrath of Countess Mekula is a 0 level funnel adventure for the Dungeon Crawl Classics roleplaying game.  The players assume the role of a group of common peasantry that have exactly one day to seek out and destroy a vampire in her crypt. If the sun sets before this stalwart band can complete their task, she will be too powerful and all will be lost! The quest is fraught with rabid wights, feral beasts, nasty traps, and weird puzzles. The adventure concludes with a perilous battle against the Mother of Night Beasts, Countess Mekula!

 This adventure has been stalking the Goodman Games online convention scene since Cyclops Con in 2020. It has been heavily play-tested and has been favorably received by a wide variety of gamers! It was designed to be concluded in one four hour game session. Destroy Mekula…OR DIE.

Inspired by a love of Hammer Horror, The Goonies, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Bloody Wrath of Countess Mekula is a nostalgic nod to old school tournament adventures such as The Ghost Tower of Inverness, The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan, and the horror classic Ravenloft. In the spirit of Dungeon Crawl Classics, the traditional folklore regarding vampires has been altered to keep players guessing.
